Dear
Colleague,
Given
the continuous global health threat posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we have
postponed the 32nd International Symposium on Rarefied Gas Dynamics
(RGD32) to July 4th-8th (Mon-Fri), 2022.
Today
we reopen abstract submissions and registration at http://www.rgd32.org/.
Authors
are invited to submit their one-page abstracts online (after creating an
account and logging in) by uploading Docx or LaTeX zip files before
March 31st, 2022. Full manuscripts (optional) will be solicited in August 2022
and manuscripts that are accepted after review will be published in AIP
Conference Proceedings around July 2023.
Considering the ongoing challenges of COVID-19, RGD32 will be held in a hybrid (mostly
in-person, some online) format.
Participants can choose to attend either in-person or online, depending on
their preferences. Online participants will be able to view the pre-recorded
presentation of in-person participants, giving them access to all
presentations. We hope that this format will allow more researchers from the field
of rarefied gas dynamics to participate.
To make the login and registration process easier, a
file summarizing each step and necessary information is attached. As
uncertainties and difficulties associated with the ongoing COVID-19 persist, we will provide detailed information on entry
to Korea (exemption from quarantine, etc.) in advance so that all participants
can visit Korea without much difficulty. An affordable venue (125 USD per night) will be available to
participants, as well as other nearby hotels. (Check the RGD32 website for more
information.)
We appreciate your patience and support in this
unprecedented time of difficulty, wish you strength and good health, and hope
to welcome all of you in the summer of 2022.
Please contact us at rgd32@gnu.ac.kr
(primary) or rgd32nd@gmail.com with any questions.
We look
forward to welcoming you to Seoul, South Korea, on July 4th-8th, 2022.
Sincerely,
