Prof. Rho-Shin Myong Received KAI·KSAS Aerospace Achievement Award
Professor Rho Shin Myong (also director of the Research
Center for Aircraft Core Technology) at Gyeongsang National University was
awarded the ‘Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI)-KSAS Aerospace Achievement Award’,
the most prestigious award of the Korean Society for Aeronautical and Space
Sciences (KSAS), for his contribution to the promotion and development of the
Korean aerospace industry at the KSAS fall conference held at the Ramada Plaza Jeju
Hotel from the 16th to the 19th, November 2021.
The ‘KAI·KSAS Aerospace Achievement Award’ is awarded to
a person who has been recognized for his or her outstanding achievements in the
aerospace sector and has greatly contributed to the promotion and development
of the Korean aerospace industry.
Prof. Rho Shin Myong
contributed to the development of the aerospace industry by leading the
establishment of the Engineering Research Center (ERC) for Aircraft Core Technology,
which is composed of a consortium of universities and industry, and developing
aircraft core technology with high efficiency and safety, and also by hosting
the international symposium (RGD32) with a 60-year history on high-altitude
hypersonic and space vehicle aerodynamics for the first time, increasing domestic
research capabilities in the field.
